Okie plenty of hype but I am so not feeling this homie's painting. And I am not feeling the price tag either. The lush creamy colours do remind me of ice-cream though. Mmm.

Hello. In the evening went out for sec 4 class reunion. Watched POTC. I think overall its a pretty good action thriller, but imo the first 2/3 is way too convoluted. It's like they try to pack too much emotional entanglement and instances of betrayal into it and it just confuses the viewer and derails the plot. Especially in pirate movies, where you need a good, smooth plot to transition from action scene to action scene, it was lacking here. I also thought there was too much dialogue and long drawn out scenes that lower the tempo a bit. Moreover, there are really irritating loose ends that are not properly tied up ala deus ex machina. Some shid just disappears or happens for no good reason (there isn't even good filler to explain it). Humour at some points didn't work too. There were some act-dumb moments from the side characters that didn't work. Oh yeah, some of the emotional scenes were either cheesy or didn't impress.

But anyway this movie does have its bright sparks. Some of the humour does work. Jack Sparrow and his hallucinations are really quite amusing most of the time, and especially in the second half where the battles starts and pirates meet there are some awesomely hilarious moments. I always like Geoffrey Rush's acting so his return was always welcome as well. As for the action, in the second half of the movie it was in no short supply. That's the good thing about big budget movies like Pirates - the action never disappoints and the CG was great. I thought some more impressive CG could have been used in certain scenes but overall the battle scenes were excellent and extremely exciting. I still maintain, though that the CG used in Curse of the Black Pearl have impressed on me the most in the trilogy.

So yeah overall it isn't bad. I think my aforementioned comments seem rather disparaging because the expectation of such movies (esp with the mindblowingly good first one) is always high. You want everything in good balance. Action, humour, a bit of love, a bit of random, CG. So please if you are gonna watch the movie don't let my comments stop you. 2.5 hours is pretty good value for money anyways.

Yeah after that went out for dinner at S11. Well overall it was great to hang out with sec 4 buddies like posef and twinnies again.

Just got back from soccer finals, was the poonage cunzhi did some IMBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA bicycle kick that made the crowd go W T F. Yay won 1-0, but i felt kinda bad after 'cuz i guess if you're school lost one of the very few golds you could ever get to another with 239t8574823757238593 golds its kinda crushing. But good game nevertheless, shoutout to ongbak bong martin timon nice showing all glad all that training paid off.

Im stoned second last day of school and theres nothing relayl interesting to do. I exceeded expectations and finally got real As for lit woot.

Hello. GP was ok I guess. I must pray for Mr. P to have mercy.

After that went to macs with lip ray and al. It was quite fun to talk crap haha. AL is soo unfun lol. PLUS he screwed up his passport size photo. Yeah after that went back to school. Slacked for a while before heading off to Choa chu kang for the rugby final. Why at CCK I don't know. It's freaking desolate, with all the orchid farms and stuff.

Rugby final was a real thriller. RJ went from 0-3 to 5-3 to 5-10 to 10-10 to 13-10. The final 3 points were in sudden death extra time. Brilliant stuff. I thought AC missed a great chance to take the match when they scuffed an easy penalty towards the end. Everyone had their breath held there. RJ was guilty of missing a slew of penalties and conversions as well. I think both sides were quite balanced. RJ had terrible lineouts, AC didn't have such a great scrum. Both were good in general. Oh well. I guess it was worth the trip

Hello. Just had a pretty long nap.

Oh yeah. On Sunday when I was walking home from the bus stop (yes I do take bus!) The sole of my right sandal came off entirely -__-. Yeah it was practically hanging by one strap. I was like WTFBBQ? Dang these sandals are rotten. So I ended up walking all the way home with one sandal on my left foot, and the other in my right hand. Totally got pwnt by weird stares.

EMO POST (with not so emo-additions from random person. HAHA)

Hello! Today ended on a pretty melancholic yet good (at the same time), note. Was more or less the last day for CIP at toapayoh care corner (with smoot and tanneh), as we break for CT mugging for at least 1-2 months or forever. Although Ive been there the shortest, it was still kinda sad to realise that we wont be going there for our weekly insane/hysterical/completely draining/screamy/laugh till tears come out/face stuffing with snacks de-stress sessions for both the kids and the real delinquents - us (speak for yourself).

Well I guess for me it all started sometime last year when I was looking around for something better to do with my life and sort of hijacked tanneh's and smoot's cip. My first visit was kinda O.O cuz we had all these screamy kids running around wielding cushions and chairs and running around with the energy of about 1000 energizer bunnies on crack and redbull. It struck me how just 8 or so years ago I was just like that, but probably at home comfortably reading a book or playing some comp games, not having to worry about school or things in general, when some of these kids dont even have that wonderful homes to go home to after school.

So we make crazy art and craft things, play leetarded games like uglyuglyugly and flootgame and munchkins LOL and pool and taboo (which is really fun in broken chinese btw) hoping that maybe in some ways to help. The farm outing seems so long ago, but yea, I still remember all the funny shit that happened during that.

And now i guess i wont really be able to see the crazy monkey guy (that tried to bite... LOL) (it wasnt the crazy monkey guy who tried to bite smoot, it was the calm and quiet little boy who did that. the crazy monkey guy was just crazy), the gay kid (my nephew LOL), the gang leader, and the small nooby cute girl (she looked like dora the explorer)anymore, among many other happy brothers, sisters, friends, schoolmates and happy faces. Even if we go back after the CTs (which i doubt), i doubt things will be the same. Just recognizing that this is more or less THE end makes me really sad. So whereever you are (even if youll probably never ever read this), or turn out to be, you little monkeys, i really wish you all the best and really, God bless.

Also, i guess to me thursday meant something special. In the middle of a horrid week, after a horridly long day, it was nice to know that at least for one afternoon you could forget all the shit bothering you about school, work, life in general, to haave fun, eat rubbish and do rubbishy things like shop in the 1 buck shop for cheap snacks from indonesia or vietnam or pots knows where. And ive really got to thank smoot and tanneh for that. Stuff like this keeps school meaningful and me sane.

So today smoot kicked my ass at pool (I WAS RUSTY - no you suck) and after a while we just sat down at a table to help (watch tanneh - that sounds wrong you weirdo) make thank you cards for the lovely permanent volunteers who're there every freaking day. I really really respect these people who do things like this (at the age when almost everyone is trying to make their fortune) for not much reason except sheer commitment to the hopeful faces flocking to that small room every afternoon. And sorry we forgot your name wei hao. HAHHA. As we sign out on the volunteer sheet the last time, and walk out the door without interupting the play of the kids, I cant help but sigh inwardly. Things are moving so quickly now, I cant bear to imagine all the goodbyes we have to say to things eventually and inexorably. At least it really was great while it lasted.

Now that I've listened to the album in its entirety, I actually think I like nearly all the songs on it. I think apart from the new, softer sound, there's a bit more hip hop that sounds like Fort Minor and a more punkish sound. Anyway imo the album is decently balanced so you don't get too many soft songs at a stretch (cept maybe at the end). Plus lyrics aren't as angsty as Meteora coz they are commenting on social issues like Katrina and stuff. Oh wait, maybe it is angstier than Meteora coz this time there are f words -_-. One gripe i currently have is that my com can't play the songs smoothly w/o getting distortions every 5 seconds.


Fav song: TOO MANY AND NO I AM NOT BIASED. Probably the most badass one is Bleed It Out because the rapping pwnz.

Songs I don't dig: I am not digging the supposedly anthemic song The Little Things Give You Away because imo the tune isn't really that powerful or anthemic, and I don't think it merits 6 minutes playing time. There is some electric banjo solo though lol. I also think Valentine's Day has the potential to be a better song, even though I like it.

Oh yeah final thing. Lemme post up one of Maroon 5's new songs. It's called Better That We Break. It's really nice, though not as nice as She Will Be Loved which is god like. It's set to the movie Brokeback Mountain. I haven't watched the movie, but the second half of the video makes me want to watch it. It looks so sad and Jake Gyllenhal looks so crushed. Haha too bad it suffered from bad rep about the 5 minutes of continuous staring between the 2 dudes.

Bah havent blogged for a while, things are beginning to look dreary with a month ahead of mugging. Yay joy. In kinda angsty/irritable mood though i have no reason to be 'cuz i dont have KI and shit to worry about. Sigh whatever.

This weekend was pretty hellish. Had lots of tuition and lots of work to do. I still got my naps, and I went for dance night, but apart from that it was really rushed. In fact I skipped church. I owe the big man.

Anyway stuff I'm looking forward to this week include

1) Buying Minutes to Midnight. I'm getting special edition if there is. I got to say I love most of the songs on the album (yesh I've heard the leak), but a few are a bit mehhh. Meteora was a bit like that and I loved that album anyways.

2) Inter vs Roma Italian Cup Final 2nd leg at San Siro. First leg scoreline 2-6 inter is raped

3) Thursday soccer lesson. Annliangs 1337 tactics are now: Making rayner and peck mark xy -__-. Xy behold my badminton quikfeet and my underhanded bodychecks! That is if I can catch you in the first place.

4) The weekend!

Alright havent blogged for ages (the past week). Stuff's pretty alright at the moment, after history and SATs and econs tests things arent so stressy anymore, so I have time to catchup on evil neglected areas (no not life, other work). Dance night was alright, read peck's post for my opinion it more or less sums it up.

Lets see what happened last week that i remembered hmm... Faustus moofee, EU thing, CIP, KFC outing lewl bread in pocket double lewl ummmm. I think the week really has been a blur but i dont recall anything particularly annoying, and the people around me really have been making school alot better. I think I'll go do sum work now :(

Hey just got back from Dance Night. It was alright really. Kinda short. Some dances were good, some weren't so good (some blew hard). Even some of the modern dance items, with their energetic hip hop displays fell a little short of my expectations. At first I thought their dances were pretty decent, like slick and all. Then the alumni danced. Then it just became quite apparent that the current modern dancers lacked a certain edge and energy as compared to their predecessors. One of the hip hop thingums was good though. On a sidenote, I was VERY UNHAPPY that there was no POPPIN. Where's the crowd pleaser! Where's da weird body movements! Where's S & B!

But I think there was one dance item that really struck me, and that was the chinese dance syf piece. Not just coz cher was in it (I am objective!), but because some stuff there was really mesmerizing. The fan scene was beautiful. That scene, however short, was absolutely captivating. I ain't no dance connoisseur, and it ain't often I can differentiate between the real thing and the poseurs, but this one exuded quality. After the thing, we were saying "Woah I can see why they got gold with honours".

Anyway by deciding to go for dance night I sacrificed the opportunity to watch The Last King of Scotland at the club. My parents went on my recommendation and they said it was a great show. Bah.

After Dance Night I walked back to J8 to pick up a coffee coz I really needed a caffeine shot. It was an arduous ordeal really because the air was super humid, and my skin was getting all sticky and sensitive to it. Yeah this skin problem was a childhood thing (with all my eczema) that I thought I grew out of, but I've been having recurrences lately, especially on my legs and neck. Yeah tonight killed my neck. It was real itchy and unbearable, and I nearly ravaged my neck with me nails. Damn I claw like an animal. Which is another childhood habit i guess. When I was young I used to peel my nails to make em sharper, and hence better to scratch with. Now I just use the back of a pen or sth. Lol fug that's morbid.

Helllo. Just finished my lit PC. Got a thumb cramp halfway through. At least I think it was a thumb cramp. Felt fuzzy and weird. Still got other stuff to do, like GP outlines and econz studying. Yeah so it's gonna be a long night. This morning was kinda sad coz Inter lost to Roma 6-2 in Italian Cup so that was quite a letoff. Yeah and it didnt seem to improve (cept during PE, which was entertaining watching from the sidelines), just got angstier throughout the day. Yeah you know angsty to the point that you don't feel like talking at the canteen table coz you can't find anything worth saying. Or can't be bothered to. Bah got work to do.

Yoyo. Today was a slack day. Humanz civics by some hippie poet entertainer dude and his Brit-Indian guru sidekick was uproariously funny. Yeah the dude coerced lots of people into doing funny actions and sounds, and his suanning was 1337. And yeah his jokes are good too, not the type to fall flat.

After that had Faustus movie, which was pretty good save for the cheesy horror props. Like 20 fake skeletons surrounding Richard Burton =.=. And I gotta say back in the day, Lizzie Taylor was a real chiobu but boy is she a screen whore as well. Obviously she, or the director decided to milk her chio-ness for all it was worth and thus, at every juncture meant to arouse Faustus' lust, we see the same homogenous chiobu Lizzie.

Well in the afternoon I had consultation with klubber teo and then went to watch the big rugby match against ACJC at homeground. Well it was a pretty tight game, and I daresay that if RJ hadn't capitalised on early AC nerves to score a try in the first minute, it would have been a tenser match, and AC might have edged it. I was actually slightly more impressed by the visitors, because they constantly put RJ on the backfoot in the second half, and threatened to score. But anyways some of the RJ players put up some cracking defensive performances. Yeah I was sitting with sian and yao the twinnies of doom, and they tied knots in me shoelaces and called me fat -.- , but anyway its funny to talk shit with them. Now if any of you had noticed the RJ coach is this welshman who is MAN BIG. Like he's twice as wide as I am, and probably weights 200 kg or sth. Yeah a welsh sumo or sth. Haha twinnies and I were talking bout him.

Bah mondays are never really happy. Slept real late studying math, screwed up one question (so far) by changing the correct answer to the wrong one. Oh well c'est la vie. The rest of the day was a real drag. Muddled my way through phy geog, stoned through econs, listened through geog and lit. After that had to rush my mindmap for human geog before going for h3 which was extra boring today. I was kinda stoned throughout the day, perhaps a little angsty in the morning. But I'll live. My dad's friend is coming over to give me a flu vaccination jab later so that shd be interesting.

Hello. Today has been a superduper tiring day.

In the morning I had SATs. What a terrible 6 hour ordeal. I was quite lucky to be situated right at the back. Nearly screwed up one of the critical reading sections big time by wrongly shading the OAS, so had to make big changes. Gah Ill just pray hard about it. It's out of my hands now. Oh yeah Onyee saved my ass by lending me two of her countless 2B pencils so a big tq to her.

After that went home, slacked around for a bit before going to thompson to buy stationery at popular and to eat at swensons. Brought my ama out too. She's been complaining she's lonely so my mum thought this would cheer her up a little. Yeah the time spent at Popular was boring except for this gem of a find in the $9.95 com games section. I was like WTF?
























Lol and the dude with the stick is just amusing. Looks like he's gonna spank the red dude. Haha the awesome things I do with my time.

After that had Swensons which was pretty good. Then tuition. Then went to play badminton with shaggy, zh, kwt, melvyn and co (shaggys parents and friends). Well I gotta say I blow at badminton nowadays. Just have no consistency whatsoever. Oh yeah towards the end 3 of older ladies were lacking a partner and one of the adult pros was like no la im tired. Then he told me to play with em. So i was like a bit -__-. I had a slight inkling that he didnt want to play with em. Heck I just went along with it, couldnt say no anyways.

Then 3 min after that I saw the same adult pro call shaggy zh and kwt for a match -_____-. With a cacophonous crack my spirit shattered into a billion little pieces :/ It dawned on me that I am no longer worthy to take part in competitive play. I suk :( BAH. Life's a bitch.

In other news, I am not digging the new Linkin Park album. It leaked onto the net 2 or 3 days ago. I like (and by 'like' I mean will listen again and again) only about 1/2 of the songs, which is below expectations really. The new direction they have taken has yielded some softer songs, of which a few kinda lack energy and a badass tune (which i always expect from lp). Pales in comparison to the only previous LP soft song I can think of, which is My December. And just to gripe somemore you don't take a 4 year hiatus and come up with only a 12 song album that largely comprises new experimental sound. Come up with a damn double album, one with the old rockier sound and one with the new. I bet that'll sell like hotcakes. Zz I'm still getting Minutes to Midnight anyway.

Well I always like thursdays. It's short and it's more relaxed than other days of the week. In the afternoon the h3 people had to wait for the lecture on game theory. Some other people were in class too, like adidi. Yeah it was nice to sit around for a bit.

On to the lecture. It was terrible. The professor from china had an incomprehensible accent and a real knack for long-windedness. Irresistible really. When he said ten million rayner thought he said ten women and when he said play scissors (in scissors-paper stone) I thought he said play jesus. Yeah I think the first half of the lecture was pretty much the worst lecture I have ever, and I mean ever, listened to. The second half was a bit better because we could read the ppt slides instead of listen to him. He went into some very technical stuff about cooperative theory. Mathematical diagrams and all. Didn't have the fortitude to absorb it all. But anyways kwt was sitting next to me and he was cracking me up during the first half. Every single crap he said or wrote sent me into giggles. Funnyman.

Hello. Just had tuition. When I told my teacher that Mr. S doing money supply, my teacher was like o.0 because according to him money supply is not that important in the syllabus. The technical stuff about money e.g. its definitions, are also quite unnecessary. Plus my teacher said Mr. S is manly slow because he has not covered trade, exchange rates, etc. So...I dono. ARE WE SCREWED OR WUT!

Well today is Labour Day! Gratz to everyone who deserves to rest and doublegratz to people who are labouring on labour day! My parents went to church today. Apparently CHC has some god-like (in every sense of the word) carnival for its church members.

Aiks I, on the other hand have another tuition session later. Plus I need to do SATS. Plus I need to file tons of stuff. Plus I need to come up with human geog mugging timetable for Mr. Lee. Oh yeah i also need to edit my h3 essay for xy. Xy if you are reading this I need an extension because its very difficult to edit stuff coz its not about adding one or two words in. It's more like editing, adding and deleting paragraphs. And please don't mindsmite me.

oh yeah the other night I dropped a towel on the ledge at like 1.30 am? Dont ask how, I just did. Couldn't knock it down and go down and collect it coz there was a rat in the house and yeah thats pretty screwed up. So I tried to fashion instruments to pick it up like chopsticks. Failed in the end though. Thinking about it, its quite boliao. But anyway was doing lit and I needed a brief respite






I actually made two things. Firstly I taped 2 badminton rackets together. But that wasnt nearly long enough. The second instrument I made was rather embarrassing (hence there is no picture). I taped 2 primary school recorders together with one badminton racket. That one failed big time. I think if my parents had woken up they'd have pushed me over the balconey just for not having a life.

Basically I find that Chester sounds like shit when the music drowns him out, and thats what it sounds like in the official video. This, though is great. It's a slightly stripped down sound.
