Hey hey. Kinda crabby coz my com can't play computer games. Tried Topspin 2 and CnC 3 yesterday and my com AUTOSHUTSDOWN after like 2 min of being in game. Tried tons of things but they all didnt work :/ It is a total pain in my ass because I was planning to have like a mindnumbing 3 hour topspin + 7 hr cnc3 marathon. BAH. Cruel ironies of life. Like its one of those things that you just know had some heavenly ordination to it.

Anyway posting up a new teaser trailer of Pixar's next film - not Ratatouville, but Wall-E due Jan 08. The graphics look man pretty. But you know, I think Cars wasn't that popular (as in it was, just not as popular as nemo -.-) because they tried to put emotions onto a machine, and people didn't dig that. It limited the emotional range somewhat. Hope Wall-E pulls it off, the shot at the end looks emo already.

And why do I get the feeling that people are not digging pixar as much because they were disappointed by Cars. Somehow the hype about Ratatouville just isn't there. Go watch it the reviews have been fantastic plus its brad bird directing aka mr. incredibles. And peter o toole is voicing the food critic as well. AWESOMOE.



Oh ya for guys only. GTA IV SECOND TRAILER. Eastern European badass. Guns, Cars, Explosions, Humour. I like.

Hello. Sorry we havent been posting stuff up but lifes been shitting on us during the cts. Anyway its over hence cause for celebration! Lip and I went out to eat lunch at nydc before catching transformers at cine. Yeah lunch was pretty decadent. The movie was absolutely awesome. I mean when you decide to go and watch transformers, you pretty much aren't expecting the freaking nuances of life fleshed out on screen. What you want is testosterone-chocked fist-pumping action, and it delivered. I can safely say, even without watching spiderman 2, that this is, and will be THE BEST action movie of 2007. The storyline was not bad and I thought Shia Lebouf was great as the nerdy Sam. His acting is pretty good and he's real funny. Overall the humour really wasn't overdone

And of course the robots! The CG is really unsurpassed here, though I suspect that the movie makers were avoiding having 2 robots clearly fighting on screen ala neo vs agent smith because it would have cost more. Nevertheless the fight sequences were mindblowing. Kungfu moves, guns, lasers, mesmorizing stuff. Even the robot transformations are slick and cool. Bumblebee in particular is also quite human. Really became quite endearing. My only gripes are that certain scenes (e.g. robots outside parents house) are a tad too long, there are plot loopholes (how the man do u destroy the allspark) and that the decepticons are way more powerful than the autobots. And they have cooler vehicles too (f22, mammoth tank, wth!). Optimus came across as a little w3ak as well, being tossed around like a pansy for a bit.

The reviews in the straits times are total bullshit. I just find that Ong Sor Fern went into this movie looking for some literary imagery or sth and really nuanced plot/characters. It's just not gonna happen. I mean the cartoons themselves were a very straightforward good vs evil fight, pitting upright values like integrity against that of indifferent evil. I don't think Michael Bay or Steven Spielberg are going to try to input boliao meanings into the thing that will irritate the fanboys or convolute the movie. I also find that certain critics go into a movie like this looking for a Bourne Identity or a Bourne Supremacy with a wonderfully twisted plot and more subtle action. It's quite obvious that it's far more difficult with a bunch of large robots and source material that demands linear simplicity (and badass action). I personally thought there were cool enough twists.

Anyways it was an action movie with a fresh concept with action and subplots (however cliche) that were done extremely well. That alone deserves merit. And the other noob that claims that he is a fanboy has no idea. He claimed there was not enough cheesey moments. I'm not a fanboy and I can say there was. There is no other movie where a giant robot or human can muse aloud for 10 lines about ideals and choice. 2 stars by by OSF is a freaking travesty coz This movie blows pirates 3 out of the water. Totally felt indignant about the review because in US this movie has been wowing critics - all of which recognise that it is after all an action movie. I can see another purely simplistic why OSF wouldn't like it though. Most women don't dig cars, action, violence or cheap humour.

Hi hi went for my ns checkup this morning. Yeah I have to agree with lip that it is an utter waste of time. Basic eye tests body checkup blood sample dental logick tests. Oh yeah during dental they took an x-ray of my teeth. Mehhh I bet they think I'm the kind of soldier who'll accidentally blow myself to pieces with a nade or sth and need dental identification. Or like during the war I'll be one of those body bags with the tag 'unidentified singapore rifleman' and they need to corroborate my jawbone to my xray :/ Well surprisingly one of the more irritating parts was when they clipped some sensors to your body to monitor your breathing. They apply some Vaseline like ointment which smelt really weird.

Logick test was hard man. In fact I think I got assraped because my sense of spatial logic is like negative. Must have inherited it from memum because she can't tell left from right. On the first spatial logic test I was freaking sleepy and then like when I was halfway through the thing said times up and I was like wad the fug. The arithmetic and english stuff was decently simple but I remember later on there was one test which involved the orientation of a point in relation to the picture. Yeah I thought I understood but turns out I had no idea at all. Woot so that was like 20 wrong or something because I was half guessing, and at the same time the half guessing was based on my assumption of what I was supposed to do, which was probably wrong as well.

Oh well. Btw the I will pass you biatch post was happynooblets 300th post! Hooray! I must have posted up 250 of them!

K i just got back from NS medical checkup and BOY did it waste my time. So i had eye test piss test blood test x 2 (yeah they stab ur finger and stab ur arm later to suk up some blood) heheh peck i hope you wont QQ ECG (Cardio test) lung xray height + weight teeth check yada yada i felt like a cattle getting graded, and in the end i got a grade A! That means im going to get my ass kicked as per normal! Yay! Peck if your BMI > 27 you might go pes BP, but no matter cuz youll join me ONE (NOT TWO OMG) month erly anyway. Unless you pass, then you'll go B, or you cut down to <27 AND silver, then youll go A! Hehe. Anyway, the stupidest part is the.......

Hello. Been looking for 1984 quotes all night and atm I am suffering from an absolutely mortifying jaw-ache. From excessive yawning. I think this week I'm gonna have to study overnight if I want to finish physical geog. Eliminating the sleep cycle altogether would be pretty badass. Oh well just too slow at memorizing this uninteresting stuff about ice ages and climate. And the thing about physical geog is that your cramming has got to be pretty anal. Its just not enough to get like half of the detail only, or forget half of the detail after a while because you can't really smoke your way outta the exam.

On another note I'm finding that afternoons are my most unproductive periods. Maybe its the heat or the sleepy after lunch blues. Cool evenings are great though.

Just caught this unexpectedly good youtube video of Paul Potts singing on Britain's Got Talent. Was really blown away by his rendition of Nessum Dorma. He looks the part of the underdog too, which everybody endears to.



But just to show exactly where he stands when compared to the greats, here's Pavarotti's rendition of it. It's his signature song so its pretty much the best of the best. Then again I think his voice is so imba coz his diaphragm is so big. You could fit a grown man inside and still have space for more.



And btw Apple has released their Safari Browser to windows. Trying it out atm coz they say its faster then IE. So far what I like about it is that you can change the order of your tabs with ease. What I don't like is that it lacks an additional convenient link bar that I have grown to love on Firefox.

Hello. Well Lip's right about having nothing to blog about. This weekend I've been doing quite a bit of math coz I suck at it and I need to practise. I take really long too. Partly because I do math slowly and partly because I make mistakes and stuff. Oh well. Yesterday had a 5 hour marathon from 9 pm -1 am and that was just vectors. Zz.

The dude's (Engineering PROFESSOR Lalit Goel) self-deprecating humour is uproariously funny. I have a lot of respect for teachers like him who aren't afraid to laugh at themselves or lower themselves to the students' level to connect with them. Dislike those holier than thou teachers that tell you to get outta the staff room.

Hello. If you are nob and have not seen the Battle at Kruger on Youtube frontpage, watch it here now. It is a mindblowing 8 minute amateur video of a buffalo herd attempting to rescue their calf from a group of savage lions. Throw in a couple of crocs, a miraculous recovery, a godlike gore and a GGbuffalosiege and you got yourself a thriller. Nothing as dramatic as Mother Nature innit ^^


And on another note, while Riyo Mori of Japan won Miss Universe, I instead would like to pay tribute to her predecessor, Miss Japan 2006 Kurara Chibana.
