GP was alright, AQ was a retard tho how teh hell do you agree with a passage that gives no detectable argument? Oh well but the rest was ok, i thought the essasy questions were generous. Did the one on state control and i proudly wrote, in big, bold, staring capitals, BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU. Mr p give me 1000 marks!

HAT after that was far more interesting lol. First question, summary of points was alright! Second question asked me "What reasons does the author give for the development of the institutions of the state" or something like that. Again, pretty ok though i felt a little repetitive and im not sure what kind of extra analysis they were asking for so i gave some of my own to the info. Third question is gay! Asked me to outline the main factors contribution towards a change in relationship between the ruled and the rulers in a period familiar to me. So i spammed maximum governments and stuff like performance legitmacy, economics, changing perception of the masses and education and international pressure and blah blah. Not sure if me analysis was chim enough though :S.

LAST QN IS FUN i say sounding like a nerd. Ok i am one but w/e. They give you a PRIMARY SOURCE (This time it was an article written after the japanese occupation of japan, by a korean schoolgirl detailing her attempts to study history) and ask you about what implications of korean culture and society cna be drawn! HAahHAha so its like inviting the ultimate bullshit, like talk about male / female gender relations, role of religion cuz she sees a pastor and spiritual leaders are mentioned, hierarchical, the fiery nationalism of the youth versus the guarded fearfullness of the old, the incompleteness of japanese occupation considering that the events were taking place for "months", the wistful hope of the girl representative of the hopefulness of the nationalists in general, reverence for tradition (book was properly kept and beautifully bound LOL thats what i made of that). Ownage thing to do really let your imagination run wild because the mark scheme says "HISTORICAL ACCURACY IS NOT EXPECTED OR GRADED INSTEAD HISTORICAL IMAGINATION AND CLOSE SCRUNITY IS" hahahahah wooo.

Aiks my com crashed yesterday. Very timely huh. Com kept rebooting and getting the blue screen of doom. Thankfully kwt could come over today and move the hard drive to the other com. Much thanks dude. He also convinced me to download the radiohead album, so I did for free. I'm alright with radiohead. Some of their songs are pure gold like Karma Police and High and Dry but damn some others are way too eclectic for me. It's like Thom Yorke will wail like an offkey banshee and funny guitar riffs will play and other random stuff. But then again their music is very polarizing. Kwt said that they're like coldplay on steroids, and that totally appeals to him. And that's what doesn't quite appeal to me. There's a certain aimlessness about the music and Yorke's mumbling that gets to me sometimes.

That's not to say I don't like unstructured stuff (bohemian rhapsody is wonderful), or that I'm a pawn of the commercial world. I'm just of the opinion that for the most part, critical acclaim can intersect with music that's smooth on the ears. Just look at teh Beatles or U2 or RHCP (well most of the time anyways). I like looking out for these kinda songs, like With or Without You or Yesterday. Maybe that's why artists like radiohead, dylan or kate bush fall by the wayside of my playlists. Ah my bad perhaps.

Eh why am I suddenly trying to be pseudo-cheem (thats one level below pseudo-cheem :/)? Damn math must be messin with me mind. Or must be the time

Hello. More pictures of teh touch. While I must say the touch interface is exceedingly cool, getting used to it takes time, especially coz my finger is huge. And it's not quite as revolutionary in style as the wheel. My only other minor gripe is that you can't go backwards in some cases with the touch interface. For example, to go to the main menu you gotta press a button, rather than swivel your finger. Other than that I'm very happy with the product :). Oh yeah my mum bought a protective cover for it. I thought black would be a natural choice, but she chose white -_-

I have some pictures of the ipod touch itself, but not the interface. It feels very sleek and nice, but also very delicate. I have to get a protector. These things have a reputation for scratching.

Anyway I'm grateful I have a great geog tuition teacher. He is thoroughly accomodating of the fact that I suck at the subject (affirming it as nicely as possible haha) and is ever so patient with me. Ah he makes me not hate physical geog for a while. For the first time ever I understood the 3 cell model today. I was like whew. damn. Downright miracle. Oh yeah and it totally helps to have a comrade in arms like SMOOD. There is just so much trashtalk as he tries to make us compete against each other which is a roflmismatch. I don't need to say who's teh noob.   

Anyway revision lessons are really getting to me. Today a group of us had a combined of about 5 hrs of lectures and it is mofo tiring. At teh end I WUZ CRABBY. Like damn why go for lectures when you don't even have time to mug the stuff. I'm not going tomorrow. I owe myself some studying.

Mmm on a sidenote I tell ya I got plenty o ice-cream in my freezer. Me mum bought some gelatto yesterday. Peppermint Choc Chip! I know it's a hate-it-or-love-it flavour but I totally adore it. She also bought hazelnut. Oh yeah there's also a carton of strawberry cheezecake from ben & jerrys from some time back. Good times.

Man I hate these daily lectures. Necessary but ever so disruptive to my day as well. Ah nevermind. I spent quite a bit of time on my personal statement, and I must say having a 133337 older sister really helps :). It's well, comforting to know that someone will tell you to your face that this part is teh shitzz or holymoly that bit is omfg bad and emo. Having her vet my stuff really takes the verbosity and pretentiousness out of it. And boy does she lead a rock and roll lifestyle. She partehed, slept at 2.30, woke up at 7 and then helped me with editing. The girl knows no bounds -_-. Ah at least she doesn't do drugs.

Hello. Memum placed the deposit for the ipod touch today. I think it's coming in a week. Yeah so I'm quite stoked about it. Yeah we also got complementary headphones. They are really clunky and big so I thought they'd be better to use with my com. My old headphones were absolutely shitty because the volume kept getting soft on its own. These are a really big improvement but they are really big. I think most people don't use headphones but to me, they are absolutely essential because more often than not, you don't want people knowing you are on youtube..or gaming..or watching a p2p match do you. Underrated device. 

And I'm trying to do my personal statement for Mrs. T. I gotta say I absolutely suck at this kind of thing and I take super long. Seriously sometimes I just feel like shooting myself. It's worse than math. How do I not sound waffly and unpretentious and still sound a bit intellectual.

Yeah so yesterday I was telling my mum that my ipod has been spoiled for about 6 months now. It can't sync with my computer and the battery is pretty effed up. I do miss having a hardcore music player (my dopod can only hold about 200 songs max, so that means I have to be extra selective) so I was throwing around the idea of getting a nano, which my mum rejected outright. She was like "I dinch noe it wuz spoilt" and like "I'll bring it to repair tomorrow" so I was like *moangrumblemehhzzplanfail.

So today she brought it to the apple shop and the man said my ipod had pretty much imploded and conked out. Ah. Basically my mum tends to oscillate very quickly from one view to another. If it ain't broke why fix it. BUT if it is broke, then get a new one :). So she was calling me from the ipod shop telling me the options. Well I wasn't quite sure.

She initially gave me 2 choices. The 8 gig ipod nano (with video and all) or the 80 gig classic ipod (with video and all too). And I was just checking out the reviews and that left me in an even greater rut. The 80 gig ipod is apparently laggy while the ipod nano, at a measly 8 gig, doesn't seem to do justice to its video capabilities. The nano in question is the 2nd generation nano because the 3rd generation nano is plain fugly.

Then a 3rd option crept into my mind..slowly. What about the 16 gig ipod touch? My mum checked it out and said it was really beautiful. 16 gig isn't huge, but its ample. I'm not exactly watching movies on the ipod anyway, so I certainly won't have huge 3 gig files in the ipod.
































Well I still have lots of concerns though. It is pricey and it does seem awfully indulgent considering I already have a dopod. Hmm despite the fact that I may be rather spendthrift on small things, I do have reservations when it comes to more expensive items (thats why I wear cheapass shirts and have zero jeans -_-). So option 4 would be...buy nothing at all. Any suggestions kwt?

Hello. Life's been dreary and all. Been doing lots of math these past few days. H3 grade was pretty ok. I think I was quite fortunate because I did really badly for the drq and for the essay we've gotten back so far I didn't have a thesis (instead I had a essay long antithesis) but I got a really decent mark. So thank god I guess. School's ending soon and I'm sort of grateful for that. I mean apart from the fun trash talking with friends, lessons have become a real drag. In fact I don't know how it would be bearable without all the awesome random humour and 1337 suanning.

Anyway lately there have been tons of cool mainstream songs being released in the US and UK so that's great because I really love to check them out and watch the videos. Ok off now. Ah Strawberries and cream later for supper. Mmmm yum. Well actually it's the cream+sugar I'm looking forward to. Strawberries are so overrated.

Well recently if you've been following the news Mahmoud Ahmadinejad recently held a speech at Columbia Uni and infamously said that there were no gays in Iran.
