Hey people. The week has been tough, late nights and all.
BUT . BUT. I GOT MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT. LP FANBOI FTW!!!
Now that I've listened to the album in its entirety, I actually think I like nearly all the songs on it. I think apart from the new, softer sound, there's a bit more hip hop that sounds like Fort Minor and a more punkish sound. Anyway imo the album is decently balanced so you don't get too many soft songs at a stretch (cept maybe at the end). Plus lyrics aren't as angsty as Meteora coz they are commenting on social issues like Katrina and stuff. Oh wait, maybe it is angstier than Meteora coz this time there are f words -_-. One gripe i currently have is that my com can't play the songs smoothly w/o getting distortions every 5 seconds.
Fav song: TOO MANY AND NO I AM NOT BIASED. Probably the most badass one is Bleed It Out because the rapping pwnz.
Songs I don't dig: I am not digging the supposedly anthemic song The Little Things Give You Away because imo the tune isn't really that powerful or anthemic, and I don't think it merits 6 minutes playing time. There is some electric banjo solo though lol. I also think Valentine's Day has the potential to be a better song, even though I like it.
Oh yeah final thing. Lemme post up one of Maroon 5's new songs. It's called Better That We Break. It's really nice, though not as nice as She Will Be Loved which is god like. It's set to the movie Brokeback Mountain. I haven't watched the movie, but the second half of the video makes me want to watch it. It looks so sad and Jake Gyllenhal looks so crushed. Haha too bad it suffered from bad rep about the 5 minutes of continuous staring between the 2 dudes.
