The weekend was a pretty slow and relaxed one after an unenjoyable week in camp. Army red tape is just bloody lame and overwhelming. Everything needs to be in a certain way, and the reasons never quite justify the effort.
Anyway I watched Wall-E with my parents on Saturday and I thought it was just magnificent in all it's uniqueness. It's great how they manage to convey so much emotion through a robot with so little conversation involved. By comparison the humans seem all that more lifeless. Best emotional development of any Pixar film so far and that's what I like about Pixar - they're risk-takers. They always try to push the bar. The environmental commentary wasn't too overbearing as well. Perhaps the only gripe I have is that the humour early on in this film was very Chaplin-esque. The use of physical humour gets tiring sometimes, though it is always cute. Ah anyway I love the movie.
