Well I was "playing" basketball on Monday (you couldn't count it as playing. I'm atrocious) when the ball stubbed my left pinky. In my defence the court lights were blinding but still, it was tragically noobish. I didn't think much of it because this ball-stubbing thing happened to me in primary school and nothing much happened. And really who is unman enough to angst about their pinky. But even today the swelling was persistent and bruising was distinct so when my mum fetched me I asked her about it and then she insisted that we go to the hospital to check it out.
When the nurse said she suspected a fracture I thought it was kinda funny but my mum was none too amused. As it turned out, my finger suffered a minor fracture. It's like a chip off the side and from the X-ray there's a suspended bone fragment floating around. The MO said he wasn't sure if there was soft tissue damage covering up somemore injuries. At the same time, he wanted to make sure the fragment didn't move somewhere else. So he gave me a buddy splint. What does that mean? It means I can't even try to press the sprint button in COD4. That sucks.
Zz my little finger is practically drowning in bandage.
