PECKPOST
Took SATs today. Nothing much to say about it cept that it was exhausting. 4 hrs overkills your brain.
After that went home, watched Deathnote 1 on dvd. A very cool show imo. I was very impressed with the way they managed to expand on the supercool concept to make an engaging storyline. Though if the CGI for the death god had been better, I think that would have brought the experience up a notch.
After that slacked a bit, then went out with family and relatives for dinner at some thai restaurant. Food was ok, I could easily tell that my aussie relatives were not blown away. In fact after that my uncle was talking about going to newton to get some satay. We ended up going to geylang to pick up some fruit, in particular durian. My relatives love it, and they can't ever get it in Australia so they were going a little nutty at the durian shop. Hmm and I think it was my first time ever seeing the entire stretch of geylang road.
Well there are 2 stretches parallel to each other. As my father subtly put it, one side is for fruit, and one side is for chicken (meat would be more apt imo). The area in general is rather sleazy. A lot of lounges, cheap motels, smokers, beer. As we went into a coffeeshop to find a loo a drunk old man stepped out of the toilet and started cussin at us. I couldn't quite get the gibberish till he said knnccb. Well nth else was interesting apart from that.
I'm actually starting to get my real spontaneous voice back since my throat has recovered. No more husky vocals. Was sexy while it lasted though ^^
