PECKPOST

Hmm so what can I say about field camp. It's probably the dirtiest I've ever been in my life and it was horrible but I'm glad I survived it. So basically we did a 8 km route march with about 20 kg of load to our camp site which wasn't too bad (relative to what was to come later) and at that rubber plantation we set up tents and stuff. Yeah my buddy and I were bloody unlucky and our tent was located on some bumpy bushland with potholes -_-. So it wasn't uncommon to see me walk out of the tent in the morns, slip into a pothole and go freaking ballistic. Point is, you're prohibited from excessive torch use in the morning and night so you just have to be really careful and literally not throw your weight around. Doing shit in the dark is just plain messed up and you lose stuff way too easily.

DRILLS
Yeah so basically the next day all the drilling in the jungle started. I won't really go into this because frankly it'll bore you. Some of the stuff maybe wouldn't make sense in the context of war but anyway we just did it. I dare say that the most interesting one was the urban operations one (we went to a built up area) which I actually felt was quite realistic. Oh yeah at 6.30am and about 7 pm you need to prone with your field pack on the ground for like 20 minutes to wait for light to come and fall respectively. Just in case your enemy decides to pawn you at this time. Damn near shattered my ribs sia.

FOOD N SHIT

Food was actually OK. Rations are alright once you get past the generic taste. Accessory pack had biscuits and stuff. But then again I tried not to eat too much because what goes in must come out. I actually shit once in 6 days which is probably the average. Why so few times you might ask. Because the shithole is far away from your tent and you need to dig your own shithole and cover it that is really troublesome at night (unless you are shameless enough to shit during day). I shan't elaborate anymore in case I spoil your chinese new year.

TRENCH OF WIN

Holy shit. Holy moly. This is where the shit really hit the fan. Day 4 was day of win. You basically dig this large bed-like depression for yourself with this miniature changkol (or hoe). About half an hour in it started to rain and we got fucked big time. All our holes filled with water, mud started flowing down and everything just got sandy and muddy. Everything includes us btw. Shirt and pants can be changed but freaking hell boots have no replacement. Freaking fungi haven sia. I had to move to another location and redig my damn hole and I got a blister on my middle finger which tore in the same session. The skin below that tore as well leaving my flesh exposed to stuff. At the end you're just shack, muddy, dirty, sandy and pwnt. And then you realise that most of that will stay the same way for the next 2 days. We were quite unlucky because it rained for the next 2 days and during the same barbed wire obstacle course lip was talking about. Unlike manbeast lip I was damn tired and I struck the wrong place so the officer in charge forced me to apologize to the target and redo haha.

YUR RIFLE

What a pain in the ass. At night you gotta sleep with it if not the commanders steal it. I put the strap around my groin so if they tried I'd wake up FOR SHOR and kick em. I saw one guy whose neck skin got ripped off because of strap burn. Not pretty sia. Oh yeah my section mates completely utterly pawned me one night by pretending to me a sergeant and pawning me. I was in a stupor at the time so I was duped -__-. Now I am taunted 20 times a day :/

Sorry if you're bored with the post but that's me life at the moment. I just had my reunion dinner and I must have eaten about 1 kg of beef. I spent the afternoon catching up on a lot of sports news, politics (super tuesday was today) and also playing a bit of com. Later on I'll probably watch the england match with my cousins.

I got tons of videos to put up. Here's the first one. Superbowl advertisement for Pixar Movie Wall-E with cameos from buzz lightyear and woody. Wall-E is so damn cute.

And here is a new song from Colbie Caillat - Realize. Just wanna chill out and relax to this song.

And btw anyone wanna watch Juno? I do.
